Resources for your family
Discover valuable tools and information to support your child's growth and development. We believe in empowering families to foster a strong foundation for learning at home.

How learning influences your child
Children’s learning is strongly influenced by their language, culture, and family background. In our inclusive preschool, we recognize that these factors shape how children understand and interact with the world.
We use culturally responsive teaching to connect learning to students’ backgrounds. For example, children from Spanish-speaking homes are encouraged to use both languages as a strength, which supports language development and confidence.
Families play an important role in supporting their child’s learning at home. You can help your child by:
- Talking and reading with your child in your home language
- Creating consistent daily routines
- Using visual supports such as pictures or schedules
- Encouraging play, conversation, and storytelling
For children with exceptionalities, consistent routines and visual supports can support development and reduce anxiety. We work closely with families to ensure that strategies used at school are also supported at home.

What makes our resources unique
The resources we provide are designed to be practical, inclusive, and easy for families to use at home. We understand that every family is different, so we offer strategies that respect cultural and linguistic diversity. Families are encouraged to support their children in their home language, which strengthens communication and builds confidence.
Our resources are also tailored to meet the needs of all learners, including children with exceptionalities. We provide simple strategies such as visual supports, routines, and communication techniques that families can easily apply in their daily lives.
In addition, we believe in strong collaboration with families. We do not only share information, but we also guide and support families through regular communication and personalized recommendations. This helps create consistency between home and school, which is essential for children’s development.

What we want families to understand
After exploring these resources, we want families to feel confident and empowered to support their child’s learning and development at home. Families should understand that they play a vital role in their child’s success, and that everyday interactions—such as talking, reading, and playing—are powerful learning opportunities.
We also want families to recognize that every child develops at their own pace. By using simple strategies like consistent routines, visual supports, and communication in the home language, families can create a supportive and positive learning environment.
Most importantly, we want families to know that they are not alone. Our program is here to support, guide, and partner with them to ensure that every child is prepared for school and lifelong success.
Common challenges families may have
Families often have questions and concerns about how to best support their child’s learning and development at home. One common challenge is understanding how to help children who are learning English as a second language. Families may wonder if they should speak English or their home language. Our resources encourage families to continue using their home language, as it supports overall language development and strengthens communication.
Another challenge is supporting children with exceptionalities, such as speech delays, autism, or attention difficulties. Families may feel unsure about how to create routines or manage behavior. Our resources provide simple strategies such as using visual schedules, establishing consistent routines, and encouraging communication through play.
Families may also struggle with understanding developmental milestones and knowing if their child is progressing appropriately. We provide guidance to help families recognize and celebrate their child's unique developmental journey.
